University qualified, an Exercise Physiologist is an allied health practitioner in the field of Exercise Rehabilitation.

Exercise Physiologists specialise in exercise prescription and the delivery of exercise programmes for elite athletes through to people suffering from injury and/or chronic disease, including diabetes, obesity, arthritis and cardiovascular disease.

Waverley Park Physiotherapy Centre Exercise Physiologists Brooke DeHey and Megan Jepson conduct initial exercise assessments, exercise classes and one-on-one exercise sessions at our Mulgrave clinic. Brooke DeHey and Megan Jespson consult with clients for pre and post natal assessment & treatment; and they also run a dedicated Type 2 Diabetes Exercise Program;  Fitness Classes and Personal Training.

Medicare will fund Exercise Physiology for clients with certain chronic conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease and arthritis under the Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Programme. You will need to speak to your GP regarding a referral. Health Fund benefits apply to Exercise Physiology, as well as Workcover & TAC.

Exercise Physiology is available on Friday afternoons at Waverley Park Physiotherapy Centre.
