Physiotherapist Amy Shipperd joins Waverley Park Physiotherapy Centre

Amy Shipperd PhysiotherapistPhysiotherapist Amy Shipperd has joined the health care team at Waverley Park Physiotherapy Centre (WPPC) in January 2015.

Amy has completed a Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy) graduating from La Trobe University. Her clinical interests include acute sports injuries, Clinical Pilates, Women’s Health.

Amy has a keen interest in sports physiotherapy developed from her long term involvement and understanding of tennis, which she has played for 18+ years. Amy spent two years on scholarship playing US College Tennis in America and currently coaches the Firsts Tennis Team at Haileybury Girls College.

Waverley Park Physiotherapy Centre Director Andrew Dalwood said that Amy’s expertise and clinical interests complement the existing skill set of the WPPC team. “Amy’s experience as a top level tennis player on the US College circuit gives her valuable understanding of the injury management of athletes. This, combined with Amy’s focus on Women’s Health, compliment the WPPC team, ensuring WPPC is well placed to service a wider cross section of health care needs of our community”
