Waverley Park Physiotherapy Centre (WPPC) welcome Physiotherapist Rhea Torres to our physiotherapy team.
With a background as a long term participant in ballet, jazz, tap dance & cheerleading, Rhea Torres has strong interest in Dance Physiotherapy, including the treatment and management of injuries for performers.
Rhea’s dance experience includes being part of the first Australian cheerleading team to compete at the Cheerleading World Championships in 2007.
Apart from dance physiotherapy, Rhea Torres has strong Clinical Interest in lower limb injuries, as well as Clinical Pilates, exercise and rehabilitation.
Rhea’s primary sporting passion is swimming. Over many years involvement with different swimming squads, she is experienced in competing, teaching and coaching.
Rhea Torres completed her Doctor of Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne, and has also attained Bachelor degrees in Science and Behavioural Neuroscience through Monash University.
Additionally, Rhea Torres is an APPI qualified Pilates instructor, skilled in matwork and equipment Pilates.
Rhea likes to be involved in all stages of an individual’s rehabilitation journey, from early intervention all the way through to late-stage return to sport and everyday life activities.
